Not gonna lie, that first panel hurt a lot to create.

Shadows Over Pitstop 19: Rip and Tear

Grymm Ramblings

I think I did more lettering effects work on this page than any other page. But I really love how everything turned out. Especially upgraded portal spell sigul that hasn't been seen since Entropy 101 flashback arc.

Speaking of upgraded magic, CK's tentacle tattoos seem quite a bit more potent and quicker to spread than when we first saw them back in Kill Your Heroes.

In webcomic adjacent news, I've recently been rereading the the Dark Science arc of Dresden Codak and can I just say what a superb read it is? It consistently achieves a level of detail, beauty, and scouring wit that I could only dream of wielding. If you're into things like deconstructing personalities, transhumanism, high fantasy, and retro-futurism, do yourself a favor and check it out. It's also SUPER GAY in the best way possible.

  1. Everything about the current art and coloring is so vibrant and sharp.
I hate to see Ona go so messily. She didn’t deserve that. Unfortunately, when you make the choice to leave the main protagonist cast you become collateral damage. Marrion could have given Ona some important advice on the effects of coming in orbit of the guys.

    1. Thank you!
It’s that double edged knife of running with the Walrus. Sure weird shit might happen when you’re with ’em, but at least you can mostly hide behind their over powered plot armor. But you step just a little too far out from it and BLAM! 246 NUXXORS explode you from inside out for no reason whatsoever.
