Grymm Ramblings
As of me uploading this strip, I was talking to Mirth and wondering aloud what I should say. Mirth wants it to be said that CK and I are both wonderful. She also suggests that everyone should take a moment, figure out where Richmond, Virginia is and bow in that general direction and send praise and love to us. Then praise yourselves. Because you're far superior than those other, non-Voodoo Walrus reading types out there.
There. That'll work. Other than that. Nothing to report. Lots of stuff to do. Being a cartoonist is hard. I don't know how the guys that script, write, and draw their comics all by themselves make it work. But then again, they don't have commission stuff to do and they usually have Topatoco handling their merch. Lucky devils.

They’re probably right about books dying out in six years. Everything’s electronic now.

But I like my books…

So do I. Plus, digital media is too easy to alter or delete. It would make things all to easy to go all 1984 on everyone if the powers that be had that much control over media.

Digital media is good for comics. For the works of fiction (okay for the works of non-fiction as well I guess) Nothing beats written and printed word.
And there enough of the current generation that enjoys printed word on actual pages that will substean books for at least 20 years. Vensik, there not too much to worry about on that front.
Greetings from England to all my fellow Walrus-heads. Enjoying myself immensely. Will be sharing my research with fellow mad scientists as soon as I return stateside. Till then.

I’ve attempted to read things in a digital format before. Comics work perfectly fine. But novels and short stories? Can’t do it. PDF, e-readers, Nooks or what have you just don’t fly with me. I much prefer the look and the feel of an actual book.
That’s not even going into my slight paranoia about things like Nooks and such in which you could so easily lose the data in a myriad of ways.

That first square nailed my “Let me explain this to you” face.
It’s like you’ve seen it before Grymm.

I’m an art wizard. I can creepily channel the essence of people into my art.
Akonite
So, you’re telling us your art steals souls? In a Dorian Grey manner or in a shambling zombie way?
Grymm
Nope. Just that I have crazy spooky powers. Though I still lack a pointy hat and wizard robe.
Akonite
That’s okay. Top hats are far sexier.
Grymm
I do encounter a surprising number of people who ask ” Can I touch your top hat?”
Akonite
You’ve read at least one of my profiles you know how I feel about hair and fine hats.

This goes to prove it, one out of three people who underpay artists have their heads explode. I hope you are paying attention to the moral hidden in each page. Yes it is there. This is not just some random story. This is a tale of morality.

The Necronomicon has a Donatello mask!
Yeah, I’m a geek.
