Eye’s Wide Open 37: BEEEEAAAARS

Grymm Ramblings

Hey, how we all doin'? Right now I just want to be draped across a piece of furniture with a rum and coke in hand while surrounded by weird, loud, beautiful, laughing, chatting, wonderful people. Change of topic; what got you into reading Voodoo Walrus? Any particular comic, panel, ad image, or terrifying scream from the void that caught your eye? We are curious. Very curious. Stay safe. Stay sane. We love you all.

  1. Well… for me it was the start. I saw one of your ads and I LOVE online comics. Spends ALOT of time reading them and I saw this weird little ad, don’t remember which one. When I try to remember I just picture this maniquin in a dark room, his head shaking violently as blood red tears pour down his face. He is saying something but I can not hear… OH WELL can’t be important. I saw these brillant colors, this wonderful looking page. Again don’t remember where in the comic it was but that isn’t what hooked me. What hooked me was hitting the first page button and reading. Sure there were a lot of inside jokes I didn’t get but I was okay with that. I was curious about the character. But if I have to say an arc that got me hooked… it was Lord Creepknight and Sir Grymm taking the law into their own hand and going after that tool Bowler used to date, the one that stole Lord Creepknight’s booze. I laughed at the ‘police’ antics, I liked the idea of hand blown booze bottles, and I really liked the page of bowler coming home to all that.

  2. I was on a non-webcomic related site and found a link on a person’s profile (you both know who and which site). I was intrigued and have been an avid and enthusiastic fan ever since. This comic speaks to my nerdy, weird, Discordian soul.
