Grymm Ramblings

Not much to report this time around.

The Mid-week Patreon comics are going on strong. Roughs for the next page will be going up there tomorrow.

There is a potential major thing on the horizon. Mirth brought to my attention that there's a local comic market for indie creators that exists to peddle their sequential shenanigans. I don't technically have anything ready to sell as a full comic issue, but what if a VW arc could be turned into a single issue format?

So I went looking to see if there are any services that can print comics for indie creators. Of course there are. And reasonably priced too. To the point that I could turn a little bit of a profit. Hm.

So what if? What if I took something like the Entropy 101 arc and turned it into a physical comic book?

I think I'm going to try it. The only problem is the original high rez lettered files are now lost to time as CK always resized them before transferring them to me for upload. So I'll have to go in and re-letter the 20 some off pages. Not a huge task now that I'm better at lettering, but still not a small task. Those pages are also no where even close to industry standard size so I'm going to have to figure out some way to fill in the excess page space. Maybe with director commentary style notes? Not sure yet.

Point is, I'm going to make this happen just to see what the results are. If I'm happy with said results. I'm thinking I might do some kind of contest for folks to win the first ever professionally published VW books.

  1. Node is fast becoming one of my favorites. I’m wondering what sort of goodies they’re going to make with that array they’re reverse engineering.

    1. I am legit so excited for what’s coming down the line with Node. Both with the rest of this arc and their increased presence once we return to the present.

      1. Also, you know I’m down for physical comic books to go with my digital ones.
